The internal linking tool that does the work
Most tools hand you a spreadsheet of suggestions. Linkagent crawls your site, scores every opportunity, and ships the approved links to production, with anchor text taken from sentences you already wrote.
Free scan, no account needed. Takes about 20 seconds.
Crawl and map
Reads your sitemap, crawls every page, and builds a real picture of your content: topics, clusters, orphan pages, and link depth.
Score opportunities
Finds pages that should link to each other and picks anchor text that already exists in your copy. Balanced, varied, never spammy.
Ship with one script
A 2 KB script injects links by wrapping existing text. New posts get linked automatically on every re-crawl. No rewrites, no layout shift.
What a real internal linking tool has to do
There are four jobs in internal linking: audit what exists, find the links you are missing, implement them, and keep it current as you publish. Most internal linking tools stop after the second job: you get a list of suggestions and a long afternoon of copy-pasting in your CMS. The maintenance job never happens at all, which is why sites that "fixed" internal linking once are usually back where they started a year later.
Linkagent covers all four. The crawler reads your sitemap and every page, builds a topic model of your content, and maps the existing in-text link graph; navigation and footer links are ignored, because contextual links in prose are the ones that carry weight. The scorer then ranks every possible page pair by topical similarity, anchor quality, and how badly the target page needs links. Orphan pages and deep pages get priority automatically.
Implementation is one script tag, a WordPress plugin, or a JSON API if you want the links rendered server-side. And every re-crawl repeats the whole cycle: new posts get linked into your existing content, and your approve/reject decisions are remembered. That last part is what makes it automated internal linking rather than a one-off audit.
