Privacy Policy

Linkagent ("we", "us") provides internal linking software at linkagent.app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are. The short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we set no cookies on your visitors, and we never sell data.

What we collect

Account data. Your email address, a display name, and a hashed password. We use it to operate your account and send transactional email (such as password resets).

Site data. When you add a site (or run a free scan), our crawler fetches its publicly accessible pages and stores page text, titles, structure, the internal link graph, and the link suggestions and decisions generated from them. This is the product working as described: we only crawl sites you point us at, and we respect robots.txt.

Search Console data. If you connect Google Search Console, we store an OAuth token and retrieve performance rows (clicks, impressions, queries) for the properties you choose. You can disconnect at any time, which stops retrieval.

Visitor data: none. The embed script that serves links on your site sets no cookies, uses no fingerprinting, and collects no visitor identity. Click counting is a single anonymous beacon recording that a link between two paths was clicked on a given day — a counter, not a profile.

Technical logs. Standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) retained briefly by our hosting provider for security and debugging.

AI processing

Parts of the product use Anthropic's Claude API: clustering page titles into topics, reviewing link suggestions, and drafting content-patch sentences. Excerpts of your crawled site content are sent to Anthropic for this processing under their commercial API terms. Self-hosted instances control this entirely (it runs only if you configure a key).

Service providers

We use Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Anthropic (AI processing), Google (Search Console API, only if you connect it), and Resend (transactional email). When billing launches, payments will be processed by Stripe; we will never store card numbers ourselves.

Retention and deletion

Removing a site from your dashboard deletes its crawled pages, link graph, suggestions, and decisions. Deleting your account removes your account data and all of your sites' data. Free scan results are retained so shareable report links keep working; contact us to remove one.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Most of it is directly visible and deletable in the dashboard; for anything else, email us and we will handle it within 30 days. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, these rights are backed by the GDPR; our legal basis for processing is the contract with you (running the service) and legitimate interest (security, improvement).

Changes and contact
